It’s time to Move On
Dear Turn 4 friends,
It’s been nearly 10 years or more since Turn 4 first started playing together. We’ve played a lot of shows, drove a lot of miles, and wrote a lot of songs. We never got famous, we think mostly due to the fact that we stayed away from heroin. All great musicians are addicted to heroin.
And so now, as the great Tom Petty once said, “it’s time to move on.” Damon and Jeremy have decided to put the nail in the coffin and try something new. Damon is in the midst of finishing up Halden Wofford and the Hi Beams newest album, due out very soon! And he plans on doing a lot of writing and recording while taking it easy after the summer touring. Jeremy is considering taking up heroin and has started a new project called The Deadwood Saints with Turn 4 members Rob and Darren, and a reunion with former Turn 4 drummer Dan Deats on guitar. Their first show is set to be at the Swing Station (patio opening) in Laporte Co. on Sunday April 7th with The Paul Benjamin Band and 4H Royalty, Followed by Surfside 7 on April 16th with Truck Stop Darlings. And they are looking forward to opening up for The Band of Heathens on May 17th at Hodis Half Note. You can check out their Facebook page for a complete spring and summer schedule. https://www.facebook.com/TheDeadwoodSaints Go ahead and give them a “like” while you’re there.
We went out with a bang in Austin Texas at SXSW! Big thanks to SpokesBuzz for all of their unwavering love and support and making Austin happen for us, as well as Jamie Lunde and Awnry Gril Productions for putting us on the Oskar Blues Showcase!
We’d like to thank KRFC for playing our music, and all of our family and friends for their love, support, and time spent over the years including Colin Bricker for being the SHIT!, an incredible friend, guitar player, and recording our records for FREE!! All other members of Turn 4 throughout the years…Pyper Marie Thaller Powell, Steve Opp, Gary Schillinger, Dan Deats, Paul Dechant, Jim Arhelger, Woody Myers, and all current members. We love you.
We leave you with the words of the great Axl Rose… “This song is dedicated to all the (Turn n’ fuckin’ 4) fans who stuck with us through all the fucking shit!
And to all those opposed…hmm…well…”
Love,
Turn 4
